Children's Wear - Measurements & Prices

1. Measure the child in a relaxed, standing position with hands at sides.
2. The child should wear a lightweight T-shirt or blouse or button-down shirt.
3. Measure around the waist, having the child bend from side to side,so that you can determine the position of their real waistline.
4. Measure around the fullest part of the buttocks for the hip measurement. Do not pull too tightly on the measuring tape.
5. Measure the length from the top of the hip bone to the required length. Usually a hem will be added to this length measurement.
6. You can measure in inches or centimetres, but be consistent with all your measurements.
7. Cloth tape measures are the best to use as they conform best to the body contours and give a more accurate reading.
